We all piled in the Rambler for a ride out to Sleepy Hollow. Trees moving past us making the sunlight dapple across our eyes.
"Put in Allman Brothers and play Jessica."
"I will if you quit bogart'n that thing and pass it."
Dickey Betts' meandering guitar washed over us in those carefree days and, being eighteen, we didn't think it implausable for these kinds of days to last forever.
It turned out those carefree days weren't meant to go on forever after all, but we sure had a good time while they lasted.
